Metrological certification of measuring instruments
Metrological certification of measuring instruments consists of the following stages:
- review of technical documents submitted for metrological certification of measuring instruments and certification of their software in accordance with ST RK 2.46;
- experimental studies of measuring instruments
- testing of verification methods of measuring instruments;
- software certification in accordance with ST RK 2.46 (if necessary);
- registration of results of metrological certification of measuring instruments;
- registration of the results of software certification in accordance with ST RK 2.46 (if necessary).
If necessary, experimental research can be carried out in several stages.
If necessary, metrological certification of measuring instruments can be carried out using material and technical base of accredited testing, verification, calibration laboratories of the Republic of Kazakhstan and third countries
Works on metrological certification of measuring instruments or its separate stages are carried out on a contractual basis.
In case of positive results of metrological certification of measuring instruments the following documents shall be issued to the applicant:
- a letter stating that positive or negative results were obtained in the course of experimental investigations of the measuring instrument specified in the application;
- approved program of metrological certification of measuring instruments (in case of development of the program of metrological certification of measuring instruments);
- approved verification procedure (in case of development of verification procedure);
- protocol of experimental studies of measuring instruments;
- certificate of metrological certification of measuring instruments of the established sample.
Measuring instrument and verification procedure shall be registered in the Register of the State System for Ensuring Uniformity of Measurements of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In case of negative results of metrological attestation of measuring instrument, GNMC shall issue a notification on unsuitability of measuring instrument for use of the established sample.
Measuring instruments that have passed metrological certification shall be subject to verification during operation and after repair in accordance with the verification methodology specified in the certificate of metrological certification of measuring instruments.
